11 Terrorists Killed in South Waziristan IBO; Major, Soldier Martyred: ISPR

Security forces eliminated 11 terrorists linked to the Indian-backed group Fitna al Khwarij during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Sararogha area of South Waziristan on Tuesday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

The operation, launched on confirmed intelligence of Khwarij elements operating as Indian proxies, resulted in intense fighting. Troops successfully targeted the terrorists’ hideout, killing 11 militants and wounding seven others, according to the military’s statement.

Tragically, two soldiers — Major Syed Moiz Abbas Shah, 37, from Chakwal, and Lance Naik Jibran Ullah, 27, from Bannu — were martyred during the clash. Major Moiz, who was leading the mission, was praised for his bravery and dedication in numerous prior counterterrorism efforts.
