LAHORE: The Chief Minister Punjab Inter-Division Summer Games are set to begin in Lahore today (Thursday), with around 700 male and female athletes expected to take part in the multi-sport event.
Punjab Sports and Youth Affairs Director General Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry chaired a meeting of the organising committee to finalise preparations. He directed all divisional sports officers to ensure smooth arrangements for transporting their contingents to Lahore, particularly in light of the ongoing heatwave conditions.
Chaudhry added that the Punjab Sports Board is committed to providing the best possible facilities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all participating athletes.
The games will feature competitions in kabaddi, volleyball, hockey, and badminton, bringing together talent from across the province for a showcase of athletic skill and inter-divisional camaraderie.
