Pakistan and Bangladesh have confirmed a three-match T20I series set to take place in Lahore, with Pakistan unveiling a 16-man squad for the upcoming contests.
The series was finalized following successful discussions between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Chairman Nazmul Abedin and President Faruque Ahmed.
All three matches will be played at Lahore’s historic Gaddafi Stadium, with the complete schedule to be released soon.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed appreciation for the collaboration with the BCB, stating, “We are thankful to the BCB leadership for their confidence and cooperation. This series represents another meaningful step in strengthening the cricketing bond between our countries.”
The squad selection was based on standout performances during the ongoing HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL), which concludes on 25 May. This series will also serve as the debut assignment for Pakistan’s newly appointed head coach, Mike Hesson.
Salman Ali Agha has been retained as captain, with Shadab Khan serving as vice-captain. The team features a blend of seasoned players and promising newcomers.
