K-P Minister Vows Justice for Slain Children
NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Authorities in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa have initiated an investigation into a devastating strike on a residence in Mir Ali tehsil that claimed the lives of four children and left several others injured, prompting a sustained protest by local residents.
According to local reports, the attack — allegedly involving a quadcopter that dropped ammunition on a house in Hormus village — also injured five people, including a woman. The deceased children were between eight years old and just two months.
The injured were transported to the Mir Ali tehsil hospital, with some reported to be in critical condition. The incident has sparked widespread grief and outrage in the area, leading to a sit-in protest that has continued at Mir Ali Chowk since Sunday.
The protest has seen participation from tribal elders, youth, and children, with demonstrators holding signs bearing slogans like “Let Us Live” to demand justice and accountability.
Provincial Minister Nek Muhammad condemned the attack in a social media statement, describing it as a heinous crime.
“The blood of these innocent children will not go in vain. This is a crime against humanity. We will raise our voice on every platform and ensure those responsible are brought to justice,” he declared.
