Cristiano Ronaldo expected to stay at Al-Nassr until 2027

Cristiano Ronaldo expected to stay at Al-Nassr until 2027Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly on the verge of signing a contract extension with Al-Nassr that would keep him at the Saudi club until 2027, meaning he would continue playing beyond his 42nd birthday.

The 40-year-old Portugal captain appears set to commit to two more years in Saudi Arabia, despite having previously hinted at a departure when he posted “the chapter is over” after Al-Nassr’s final Saudi Pro League match of the season.

Although his future seemed in doubt — especially after FIFA president Gianni Infantino suggested he could join a team participating in the upcoming Club World Cup — Ronaldo has reportedly turned down those opportunities in favour of staying at Al-Nassr.

Since arriving in January 2023, Ronaldo has thrived at the club, scoring 99 goals in 111 matches and claiming his second straight Saudi Pro League Golden Boot last season with 35 goals in 41 games across all competitions.

In addition to his achievements on the field, Ronaldo is said to be exploring potential sports investment projects in the region, further reinforcing his long-term ties to Saudi Arabia.

Al-Nassr, who recently parted company with Italian manager Stefano Pioli after a third-place league finish, are now focused on securing Ronaldo’s future — a move that could shape the club’s direction both on and off the pitch.
