Authorities Impose Blackout in Rawalpindi Following Indian Airstrikes

Authorities in Rawalpindi have imposed a full blackout across all private housing societies in response to heightened security concerns after recent Indian airstrikes on several civilian areas, Express News reported.

An official notification from the city administration announced that the blackout will be enforced daily from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am until further notice.

The directive specifies that “all street lights must remain off at night,” and residents are instructed to switch off all outdoor lights, including those in porches and driveways.

Additionally, citizens have been asked to fully cover their windows, limit indoor lighting, and avoid unnecessary travel during blackout hours.

These precautionary measures aim to reduce aerial visibility and safeguard the public amid the tense security environment.

Officials have called for residents’ full cooperation, emphasizing that these steps are crucial for national security during this period of escalating regional tensions.
