Field Marshal Asim Munir Celebrates Eidul Azha with Troops at LoC, Military Leadership Extends Nation-wide Greetings

RAWALPINDI / LOC –
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir spent Eidul Azha with troops stationed at forward positions along the Line of Control (LoC) on Saturday, reaffirming the Pakistan Army’s commitment to national defence and solidarity with its soldiers.

The visit began with Eid prayers at the frontlines, where special supplications were offered for the peace, stability, and prosperity of the nation, as well as in remembrance of the martyrs who laid down their lives for Pakistan. General Munir extended warm Eid greetings to officers and soldiers, praising their professional excellence, resilience, and unwavering dedication to duty.

“Spending Eid on the frontline, away from loved ones, reflects a profound commitment to national service,” said the COAS, applauding the troops’ high morale and operational readiness. He lauded their role in recent operations such as Marqa-e-Haq and Bunyaanum Marsoos, commending them for their bold and effective response that avenged the loss of innocent lives, including women and children.

Reaffirming full confidence in the armed forces’ ability to deter and defeat any aggression, General Munir also addressed India’s ceasefire violations, acknowledging the vigilance and preparedness of the troops. He reiterated Pakistan’s principled stance on the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, expressing unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s legitimate struggle for self-determination in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions.

The COAS was received at the LoC by the Commander of Rawalpindi Corps, where he interacted with troops and reviewed the security situation.

In a separate message issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan’s military leadership—including the COAS, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Chief of Naval Staff, and Chief of Air Staff—extended heartfelt Eidul Azha greetings to the nation. The statement emphasised unity, sacrifice, and the collective spirit of resilience.

The leadership paid tribute to the sacrifices of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and the people of Pakistan in safeguarding national security. It also honoured the families of the martyrs—Shuhada-e-Pakistan—for their immeasurable contribution to the country’s peace and sovereignty.

“Eidul Azha reminds us of the spirit of sacrifice and unity,” the statement noted. “We stand resolutely with the people of Pakistan, united in our sacred duty to protect the homeland.”

The combined message and frontline presence of the army chief underscore the armed forces’ enduring commitment to national security, regional peace, and the people of Pakistan.
