The Gaza Government Media Office has issued a dire warning about the escalating humanitarian crisis in the besieged enclave, stating that over one million children are now at risk of famine, according to Al Jazeera.
“Famine is spreading across Gaza as critical infrastructure collapses under the weight of a severe blockade and the continued silence of the international community,” the office said in a statement.
Officials cautioned that the humanitarian disaster is worsening rapidly, as Israeli forces maintain the closure of border crossings, blocking aid and essential supplies.
The statement confirmed that famine has now become a grim reality in Gaza, with at least 52 deaths—50 of them children—linked to hunger and malnutrition.
