Ben Lister named replacement for San Francisco Unicorns
Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf has been sidelined for the remainder of the 2025 Major League Cricket (MLC) season due to a hamstring injury, his franchise San Francisco Unicorns confirmed on Monday.
The injury, sustained during the ongoing tournament, has forced the in-form speedster to withdraw from upcoming matches. New Zealand left-armer Ben Lister has been brought in as his immediate replacement.
Rauf was leading the tournament’s wicket charts at the time of his injury, having taken 17 wickets in just eight appearances — a key factor in the Unicorns’ strong campaign.
His injury has also placed his participation in Pakistan’s upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh in serious doubt. While the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has yet to release an official update, team sources suggest he is likely to miss the entire series.
Pakistan’s training camp is set to begin on July 8 at Karachi’s National Stadium, with the squad scheduled to depart for Bangladesh on July 16. The three-match T20I series begins July 20.
