Jey Uso Forces Gunther to Submit, Captures World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 41

Jey Uso has realized his dream, defeating Gunther to become the new World Heavyweight Champion at WWE WrestleMania 41.

In a brutal, high-stakes showdown on night one of the two-night WrestleMania spectacle, Uso outlasted the powerful Gunther and sealed the victory by submission—claiming the championship for the first time in his career.

The match opened with an exchange of power moves, as Uso hit early shoulder tackles before Gunther countered with a vicious chop that sent Uso tumbling to the outside. Regaining control, Gunther unleashed a series of punishing attacks, including corner strikes, chops, a suplex from the ropes, and a running dropkick.

Uso fought back with signature offense—landing a spear, a Samoan Drop, and a hurricanrana, followed by a top-rope Uso Splash. Despite the barrage, Gunther managed to kick out, keeping the match alive.

At one point, Gunther attempted to flee with the championship belt but returned to land a Frog Splash and relentless elbows before locking in a Sleeper Hold. Uso broke free, and the intensity only grew as the two exchanged thunderous chops.

After delivering a German suplex and another spear, Uso climbed the ropes and delivered three consecutive Uso Splashes. He then locked Gunther in a Sleeper Hold of his own, finally forcing the submission.

As the crowd erupted, Jimmy Uso entered the ring to celebrate his brother’s hard-fought and emotional triumph. Jey Uso’s victory not only ends Gunther’s dominant reign but also signals a new era for the World Heavyweight Championship.
