Khawaja Asif: Pakistan Will Present Proof of Indian Backing for BLA, TTP

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has accused India of backing two major militant groups operating within Pakistan — the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) — labeling them as “Indian proxies.”

In an appearance on Geo News’ talk show Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath on Wednesday night, Asif stated that Islamabad will provide comprehensive evidence linking New Delhi to the recent bombing in Khuzdar, Balochistan, which claimed at least six lives — including three children — and left over 40 injured, many of them female students.

The attack occurred when a vehicle packed with over 30 kilograms of explosives rammed into a school bus near Zero Point, Rakhshan Hotel, as it transported students to the Army Public School inside the Khuzdar cantonment, according to Deputy Commissioner Yasir Iqbal Dashti.

The military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), confirmed the deaths of three children and two adults, calling it a “cowardly and brutal act” orchestrated by India and carried out through its proxies.

“The BLA and TTP are not nationalist or religious movements,” Asif said. “They are Indian-funded tools of terrorism. Everything we claim will be backed by concrete proof.”

He added that the attack deliberately targeted civilians and non-combatants, vowing that Pakistan would respond forcefully. Asif further claimed that BLA leadership is operating from Indian territory.

The Defence Minister also criticized India for refusing Pakistan’s request for a joint investigation into last month’s deadly attack in Pahalgam, Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 26 people. “India blamed us without any evidence. In contrast, we have proof connecting India to the BLA and to violent acts inside Pakistan,” Asif asserted.

Earlier statements by the ISPR reinforced the government’s claims, stating that India, after failing militarily, is now using proxies to destabilize Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through targeted acts of terrorism.

“Having failed in its Operation Bunnianum Marsoos and now being pursued by our security forces, India is using its terror proxies to strike soft targets — including children and civilians,” the ISPR said.

They also condemned India’s alleged use of terrorism as a tool of state policy, calling it a reflection of “low morality” and “disregard for human norms.”

The military vowed to track down those involved in the planning and execution of the Khuzdar attack and to expose what it called the “heinous face” of India before the international community.

“The Pakistan Armed Forces, with the full support of our resilient nation, remain determined to eliminate Indian-sponsored terrorism in all its forms,” the ISPR concluded.
