ISLAMABAD:
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will convene in Islamabad today (Tuesday) to observe the moon for the month of Zilhaj.

The new moon for Zilhaj is anticipated to be born on May 27, making June 7 the likely date for Eid-ul-Azha celebrations across Pakistan.

The meeting will be chaired by Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabeer Azad, the chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.

Alongside the central gathering in Islamabad, zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees will simultaneously hold meetings at their respective regional headquarters to sight the crescent moon for Eid-ul-Azha.
