Nine India-Supported Terrorists Killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Operations: ISPR

Security forces are resolute in their mission to eradicate terrorism and protect the nation, says the ISPR.

ISLAMABAD: In three separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces have killed nine terrorists backed by India, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Sunday.

The ISPR noted that troops launched an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Dera Ismail Khan district after receiving reports about the presence of India-backed ‘Khwarij’. During this operation, security forces engaged the terrorists in a fierce exchange of fire, successfully eliminating four of them.

In another IBO in the Tank district, two more India-backed terrorists were neutralized. A third operation in the Bagh area of Khyber district saw the elimination of three additional terrorists.

The ISPR reported that security forces recovered weapons and ammunition from the terrorists, who were involved in various terror activities in the region. Sanitization operations continue in these areas to clear any remaining threats.

Reaffirming the military’s commitment to ending terrorism, the ISPR stated: “Security forces remain determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and safeguard the nation.”

The military’s statement comes amid longstanding allegations against India for sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan. A day after a tragic suicide attack on a school bus in Khuzdar claimed the lives of at least ten people, including eight children, Pakistani authorities held a joint press conference to address the incident.

Interior Secretary Muhammad Khurram Agha and DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry revealed that preliminary investigations had identified Fitna al-Hindustan as the group behind the bombing. They said that this group, backed directly by India, was responsible for the attack — a claim substantiated by confessions of convicted terrorists. The authorities emphasized that the violence in Balochistan has no links to any particular ethnic group or religion but is part of India’s broader proxy war in the region.

In a separate press briefing, DG ISPR presented what he termed “irrefutable” evidence of India’s involvement in terrorism within Pakistan, stating that Indian Army officers have been orchestrating cross-border attacks and supplying explosives targeting civilians and security personnel.
