Over 65,000 Children in Gaza Suffering from Acute Malnutrition

Gaza’s Government Media Office has reported that over 65,000 children are experiencing acute malnutrition amid a worsening humanitarian crisis, blaming Israel’s ongoing blockade for intensifying the suffering of Palestinian civilians, Al Jazeera reports.

In a statement, the office accused Israel of deliberately using hunger and dehydration as weapons of war against civilians, describing the actions as clear violations of international humanitarian law.

The statement emphasized that the continued closure of border crossings has led to a severe decline in health conditions, particularly impacting children and infants.

It further held Israel fully accountable for the deepening crisis, stating that the blockade is threatening the lives of hundreds of thousands of children, women, and the elderly by depriving them of essential supplies including food, medicine, and clean water.
