Islamabad — Pakistan’s Foreign Office (FO) has firmly denied India’s claims that Pakistani forces launched attacks on three Indian military bases, dismissing the allegations as “baseless” and part of a deliberate disinformation campaign.
Earlier, the Indian military had reported that its bases in Srinagar, Pathankot, and Jaisalmer were targeted by Pakistani missiles and drones. According to India’s statement, air defense systems intercepted the incoming ordnance, and no casualties or damages were reported.
In an official response, Pakistan’s FO stated: “The Government of Pakistan categorically rejects the baseless and irresponsible allegations propagated by the Indian media, accusing Pakistan of launching attacks on Pathankot, Jaisalmer, and Srinagar.”
The FO described the accusations as “entirely unfounded, politically motivated, and part of a reckless propaganda campaign aimed at maligning Pakistan.” It further criticized India’s “repeated pattern” of making accusations without credible investigation, calling it a “deliberate strategy to manufacture a pretext for aggression and further destabilize the region.”
“These actions not only threaten regional peace but also reflect a troubling readiness to exploit misinformation for political and military purposes,” the FO warned.
Pakistan called on the international community to take serious note of what it described as India’s false reports and urged world powers to “counsel India toward restraint and responsibility.”
The statement concluded with a stern warning: “Pakistan remains vigilant and fully committed to peace, but it will not be deterred by attempts to provoke, intimidate, or mislead. Any escalation based on false pretenses will be met with full resolve and determination to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
