Pakistani Officer Anum Sher Khan Wins Top International Policing AwardHonoured for ‘Excellence in Criminal Investigation’ at World Police Summit 2025 in Dubai

Pakistan’s police force achieved a proud milestone as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Anum Sher Khan won first place in the “Excellence in Criminal Investigation” category at the 2025 World Police Summit, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, the prestigious award was presented to ASP Anum by the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police during a ceremony attended by law enforcement professionals from 192 countries. Officers were evaluated across multiple categories for their exceptional achievements and innovative approaches.

Representing Pakistan, Anum Sher Khan stood out among global contenders, earning recognition for her professionalism and remarkable contributions to criminal investigations.

Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, congratulated Anum on her accomplishment, calling it a proud moment for both Pakistan and the Punjab Police. “Officers like ASP Anum Sher Khan are the future leaders of our police force,” he added.

The World Police Summit is considered one of the most prominent international forums for law enforcement, highlighting leadership, innovation, and best practices in policing.

This year, two Punjab Police officers were honoured at the summit. Alongside ASP Anum Sher Khan, District Police Officer (DPO) Kasur Muhammad Essa Khan secured second place in the “Best Artificial Intelligence Implementation in Policing” category for his notable work in applying AI solutions to law enforcement.
