PM Shehbaz Sharif to Visit UAE on June 12 for High-Level Strategic Talks

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to embark on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Thursday, June 12, 2025, for a series of high-level discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and strategic cooperation.

The visit underscores the enduring and brotherly ties between Pakistan and the UAE, founded on mutual trust, shared values, and robust collaboration across diverse sectors.

Accompanying the prime minister will be Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, along with key federal ministers and senior officials.

During his stay, Prime Minister Shehbaz is scheduled to meet with the UAE leadership, including a significant bilateral meeting with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.

According to the Foreign Office, the discussions will cover a broad spectrum of topics — including bilateral, regional, and global matters of mutual interest — with a focus on deepening economic ties and advancing cooperation in trade, investment, energy, and labour.

The visit is part of Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to enhance its strategic partnership with the UAE and explore new avenues for collaboration.

The Foreign Office described the trip as a reflection of the two nations’ shared commitment to elevating their partnership and reaffirming long-standing friendly ties.

In recent diplomatic outreach, Prime Minister Shehbaz also spoke with several world leaders during Eidul Azha, reiterating Pakistan’s dedication to regional peace, Muslim unity, and stronger international cooperation.

Earlier, the premier visited Saudi Arabia, where he met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations and expressing gratitude for the Kingdom’s role in de-escalating recent tensions between Pakistan and India.

Prior to that, Shehbaz concluded a six-day regional tour of Turkiye, Iran, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan. The trip aimed to consolidate diplomatic support during the crisis with India and strengthen regional engagement.

The final leg of that tour was marked by his participation in the International Conference on Glaciers in Dushanbe, where he reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to climate cooperation.

Together, these visits reflect Pakistan’s broader diplomatic agenda to build stronger strategic alliances, foster economic development, and promote regional unity.
