Youth empowerment, local manufacturing, and green mobility among top government priorities
ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has instructed the relevant authorities to finalise the Electric Vehicles (EV) Policy 2025 without delay and present it before the federal cabinet for approval. PM Shehbaz highlighted the urgency of establishing robust charging infrastructure, including public charging stations and battery-swapping facilities, to support the EV ecosystem.
He also directed that steps be taken to boost domestic manufacturing capacity, particularly for electric two- and three-wheelers, by providing facilitation and incentives to relevant industries.
Federal Ministers Rana Tanveer Hussain, Ahmad Khan Cheema, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Special Assistant Haroon Akhtar, and other senior officials attended the meeting.
