Pakistan’s security forces have eliminated three militants linked to the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF), a group officials describe as backed by India, during two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Balochistan, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The first operation took place in the Gishkur area of Awaran District after intelligence reports indicated the presence of suspected Indian-supported militants. During the engagement, security personnel exchanged heavy fire with the militants, resulting in the death of one identified as Younas and injuries to two others, the ISPR reported.
In a separate operation in Turbat, Kech District, forces neutralized two additional BLF members. The deceased were identified as commander Sabrullah and operative Amjad Bichoo, both allegedly involved in attacks against law enforcement and targeted killings of civilians.
Weapons, explosives, and ammunition were recovered from the sites of both operations.
Authorities stated that area-clearing operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining threats. The ISPR emphasized that Pakistan’s security forces, with the support of the public, remain committed to countering efforts by foreign-backed groups to destabilize peace and development in Balochistan.
