The government will unveil the federal budget for the fiscal year 2025-26 on Tuesday, June 10, according to Khurram Schehzad, Adviser to the Finance Minister.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Schehzad confirmed, “The Federal Budget for FY 2025-26 will be presented on June 10, 2025.” He also announced that the Pakistan Economic Survey 2024-25 will be released a day earlier, on June 9.
The timing of the budget presentation places it after Eidul Adha, which is expected to be observed on June 7.
Earlier, it was reported that Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb would present the budget on June 2. However, the government has decided to postpone the presentation by a week amid ongoing discussions with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to resolve pending matters.
