Armed Men Snatch Weapons, Torch Police Vehicles in Balochistan; Multiple Grenade Attacks Reported

QUETTA/GWADAR: Unidentified armed men carried out a series of coordinated attacks across Balochistan late Friday night, targeting law enforcement personnel and infrastructure in Noshki, Mastung, Quetta, and Sibi.

In Noshki and Mastung districts, attackers blocked several key highways before ambushing police and Levies personnel. In the Washbo area, they intercepted two patrolling police vans, disarmed the officers, and then set both vehicles ablaze.

Officials also reported that armed individuals blocked the Quetta-Taftan highway in Ahmedwal (Noshki), where they stopped four gas transport vehicles and abducted four individuals from Punjab at gunpoint. The attackers later raided local police and Levies stations, seizing additional weapons.

Similar road blockades were reported in Dasht, Mastung, and other surrounding areas, where armed men stopped and searched passing vehicles and passengers.

Escalating Violence Across the Province

In Turbat, two workers at a barber shop were injured after assailants opened fire on their premises. This incident followed a deadly shooting the previous night in Uthal, Lasbela district, where three individuals were killed in another attack on a hair salon.
