RAWALPINDI – General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) and Deputy Chairman of the Development Control Committee, conferred civil awards on 47 distinguished scientists and engineers in recognition of their outstanding contributions under the National Command Authority.
The investiture ceremony, held on Tuesday at Chaklala Garrison in Rawalpindi, was conducted on behalf of the President of Pakistan, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Among the awardees, 10 individuals were honoured with the Sitara-e-Imtiaz, 21 received the President’s Award for Pride of Performance, and 16 were awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for their meritorious service to the nation.
