Pakistani security forces have eliminated two Indian-sponsored militants and captured two others in an intelligence-based operation conducted in the Duki district of Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Sunday.
According to the ISPR statement, the operation was launched on June 28, 2025, following credible intelligence regarding the presence of militants affiliated with the Indian proxy group Fitna al Hindustan. During the exchange of fire, security personnel effectively engaged the hostile elements, killing two militants and capturing two others.
The operation also led to the recovery of a cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives. The ISPR noted that the apprehended individuals were involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.
A follow-up sanitisation operation is underway to ensure the area is cleared of any remaining threats.
“The armed forces of Pakistan remain resolute in their mission to eradicate Indian-sponsored terrorism from our soil and are fully committed to bringing all perpetrators of violence to justice,” the statement affirmed.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the security forces for their swift and successful action. Both leaders praised the neutralisation of the militant threat and lauded the professionalism and courage displayed by the troops.
President Zardari expressed pride in the armed forces for their operational effectiveness, while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif described the military as a “bulwark against terrorism,” reaffirming the government’s unwavering resolve to protect national security.
