Indian Strikes Kill Eight, Injure 33 Across Six Locations in Pakistan: DG ISPR

Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, revealed that overnight Indian airstrikes targeted six sites across Pakistan, killing eight civilians and injuring 33 others.

In a press briefing held early Wednesday, the DG ISPR denounced the strikes as unjustified and cowardly acts of aggression. “Cowardly India launched 24 strikes across six different locations within Pakistan last night, leading to the martyrdom of eight innocent civilians,” he stated.

Among the casualties, five people—including a young girl—were killed in Ahmadpur East. In Muzaffarabad, the Bilal Mosque was struck, injuring a child and damaging the mosque. Abbas Mosque in Kotli was also hit, while a strike on another mosque in Muridke resulted in one death and one injury.

Additional damage included an artillery shell landing in Kotli Loharaan village near Sialkot and a dispensary being struck in Shakargarh.

The DG ISPR emphasized that the Pakistan Army was delivering a firm and comprehensive response to what he termed as baseless Indian aggression. He also announced that media personnel would be escorted to the affected areas to show the international community the extent of “India’s naked aggression.”

He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and confirmed that a military response was already in progress.
