Karachi to Launch Faceless E-Challan System for Better Traffic Enforcement

The Sindh Police have announced the introduction of a faceless e-challan system in Karachi to improve traffic enforcement and road safety.

This decision was finalized in a high-level meeting led by Inspector General Ghulam Nabi Memon at the Central Police Office.

Under the new system, digital traffic fines will be issued and sent directly to the violators’ homes, eliminating the need for in-person interactions. Officials stated that this move is designed to enhance transparency and streamline the enforcement of traffic regulations.

IGP Memon also revealed plans to introduce advanced technology, including speed guns and digital meters, to more accurately track speeding violations.

In addition, the department plans to upgrade traffic units, boost officer welfare, and deploy more trained personnel with a focus on improving interactions with the public.

Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odho emphasized the ongoing coordination with various departments to ensure the smooth rollout of the new system.
