Pakistan Outshines India in Asian Junior Squash Championship

Team bags two golds, two silvers, one bronze, and two Plate titles in Korea

Pakistan delivered an impressive performance at the Asian Junior Squash Championship held in Korea, notably defeating arch-rivals India and finishing with a strong medal tally that included two golds, two silvers, one bronze, and two Plate Division titles.

In a highlight of the tournament, Sohail Adnan clinched gold in the boys’ under-13 final by overpowering India’s Ayaan Dhanuka with commanding game scores of 11-5, 11-2, 11-13, and 11-6, showcasing superior skill and control throughout the match.

In the all-Pakistani boys’ under-15 final, Nauman Khan triumphed over Ahmad Rayyan Khalil in straight games, winning 12-10, 11-6, and 11-2, securing the second gold for the team.

Meanwhile, in the girls’ under-13 final, Mahnoor Ali put up a spirited fight but narrowly lost to China’s Yan Xiuwan in a thrilling five-set encounter (9-11, 11-6, 11-9, 9-11, 12-10), earning a silver medal for Pakistan.
