ISLAMABAD – Addressing the nation amid the intense Pakistan-India escalation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif delivered a fiery speech vowing that India will face the consequences of its recent attacks on Pakistani soil.
“India thought we would step back — they forgot this is a nation that knows how to stand tall,” the prime minister declared, stressing that every drop of innocent blood spilled in the attacks would be avenged.
Shehbaz revealed that in India’s “cowardly attack,” 26 civilians, including a seven-year-old child, were killed and 46 others wounded. In response, he said, the Pakistani military struck back decisively, destroying five Indian war jets, which he described as having been reduced to “ash and rubble.”
“With the grace of God, our air force created such a storm in the skies that the enemy screamed,” Shehbaz said, adding that the damage inflicted on Indian forces has left wounds “which even time will not be able to heal.”
He proudly declared that Pakistan has once again proven its superiority over the enemy in conventional warfare, praising the bravery and professionalism of the country’s armed forces across the military, navy, and air force.
The prime minister assured the nation that Pakistan’s resolve remains unshaken and that the government and military stand united to deliver a befitting response to any aggression. He closed his address by paying tribute to the fallen civilians and reaffirming the nation’s commitment to defending its sovereignty and honoring the sacrifices made.
