Pakistan Reopens Airspace Following Ceasefire with India

Pakistan has reopened its airspace to all civilian and commercial flights after reaching a ceasefire understanding with India, easing tensions following several days of military exchanges. This decision restores full flight operations across airports nationwide, signaling a return to normalcy after recent disruptions.

In a statement on Saturday, the Pakistan Airports Authority announced that a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) had been issued, officially confirming the reopening of the country’s airspace for all flight categories. All airports are now fully operational and ready to provide routine services.

The development follows an agreement between the two nuclear-armed neighbors to honor the 2003 ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC), after heightened military activity and cross-border shelling had raised fears of further escalation and impacted regional air travel.

Authorities have advised passengers to stay in contact with their airlines for updated flight schedules as operations normalize.

This reopening marks an important step in reducing regional tensions and brings relief to thousands of travelers and airlines affected by the recent disruptions.
